BIOGRAPHY

This California dream-girl was blessed with a naturally beautiful voice. As a young child in Sacramento, Linda Snook sang along with all the greats in her parent's record collection: Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughn, Eydie Gorme, Perry Como and Andy Williams. She also possessed the innate ability to recognize and employ timing, style, nuance and artistic expression; the elements that differentiate a mere singer from a polished performer.

By age seventeen, Linda's talent and wholesome beauty won her the title of Miss Sacramento and she was launched into a four-year contract with the retail chain, Miller's Outpost. Simultaneously, she performed at Marriott's Great America in San Jose, delivering five shows daily, six days a week. 

Then came a defining moment in Linda's performing career; she was selected as one of Dean Martin's Golddiggers. Overnight, she evolved from "girl-next-door" singer to alluring entertainer. This six-member ensemble opened for Martin's Las Vegas show twenty weeks a year as well as appearing on his Christmas television specials. The Golddiggers were also featured in side engagements with Bob Hope and other legendary headliners. Linda maximized her opportunity to learn from the best and no detail escaped her notice.

After three years in Vegas, Linda took a hiatus from the Golddiggers to put all that she had assimilated into her own nightclub act. She embarked on a world tour from Los Angeles to Monrovia, Africa, ultimately returning to Las Vegas where she won the coveted role of "Miss City Lights" at the Flamingo Hilton. She then spent several years in Hong Kong as a cutting-edge cabaret performer at the Pink Giraffe Club before returning to the Golddiggers for another three year stint.

In 1993, Linda's first album, No Boundaries was released. The Sacramento AIDS Foundation adopted as it's theme song, the album's featured track, Let the Miracles Begin, music and lyrics by Linda. 

Because of the success of Let the Miracles Begin, Linda was off to Nashville, the songwriting capital of the world. There, she worked for two years with many noted songwriters and artists, adding a pop twist to her style. The experience culminated in a new album and onstage persona, Cinematique. 

Linda's 2003 album, Something So Familiar, brought her full circle to where she began with its complement of big band hits, jazz and torch ballads.

In 2008, Linda married the love of her life, Lt. Col. Carl Bott, USMC (retired). Together, they formed Free Fire Media and purchased an FCC broadcasting license in Shasta County, CA. The dynamic couple then proceeded to fulfill their mutual vision of a community focused talk radio station, their slogan being, "Radio for The People by The People". As well as being the Fox News Radio affiliate for the region, KCNR (1460 AM), also features nationally syndicated programs and over 21 local programs.

Linda and Carl co-host a weekday-morning open-line show spotlighting issues of North-State concern. Thursday evenings, Linda broadcasts a solo program, On the Spot with Linda Bott. Listeners and guests enjoy the program for its lighthearted take on the North state arts scene, covering theater, fashion, film, music interviews with hip bands, what's HOT and what's NOT. 

Linda and Carl are active in promoting the support of our veterans and troops. In 2009, they produced Linda's stage presentation, Martinis with Santa, at Redding's historic Cascade Theater, including a recorded-live compact disc. The restored Art-Deco venue provided a glamorous back drop for Linda's sizzling sold-out performance. Linda's close friend and former co-Golddigger, Peggy Gohl, was featured in the program. Copies of the CD were sent to troops overseas as a Christmas gift from the North State. 

Today, as the unofficial Ambassadress and Ambassador of the region, Linda and Carl promote Northern California, via Free Fire Media, both on the air and through personal appearances. 

Linda is currently working on a new CD as well as performing on a regular basis with her jazz ensemble. 

Ever the chanteuse, Linda continues to beguile live audiences with her sultry performances, injected with just the right amount of playful wit, the voice now an instrument mastered, the style clearly her own.
